    Combobox properties (2000)

    Hi,
Below is a screenshot of a combobox. I'm trying to get it to default to the current year.
The method I've used works in all my other database but not this one, any ideas?

As you can see in the attachment, this is working for me.

But your question is : I'm trying to get it to default to the current year.
What has this to do with cmbMonth and the table Month ?

Hmmm, curious..............................I'll see if I can fix this somehow......
I'm trying to limit reports to a year and a month, hence the post......................just selected the wrong combobox.
What are the implications behind specifying criteria (date/month) in a form to a main query, when that query has other queries coming off of it followed by cross tab queries that calculate totals from these queries? I'm trying to save myself alot of work by specifying a date through these combo boxes so that the MainQuery followed by the numerous queries, then crosstab queries and eventually reports are specific to what date is selected..................or will this not work that way?
    I hope that makes sense

I don't know the structure of your db but can't you use something like :
    Select .... from ..... where Month(dateField) = " & Forms.MyForm.cmbMonth & " And Year(dateField) = " & Forms.MyForm.cmbYear
