Uncorrupt a possible corrupt file?? (Quattro Pro?)

    Hi all,
Not too sure if this is a post for the windows forum? (Certainly not a microsoft question!!)
I have a client who has .qrw (Quattro Pro) files. He last worked on them 3 days ago, and now when he attempts to open them, a message prompts that the files are in use and read only. On choosing OK the a second prompt says the file cannot be opened.
I have attempted to get him to rename the file, change the file extention, import the file into excel or try to zip the file so I can test it. The file is able to be re-named, and the extension can be changed, but all attempts to open or zip or attach it fails. ALL HE IS AFTER IS TO OPEN IT UP!!!

Does anyone know if there is a way to open os atleast salvage the data in these files....

    ALL ADVICE IS WELCOME!!!
    Regards,
    Rudi

    Thanx Pieterse,
I've already passed on this pages details to the client. Will see what the clients response is from its contents!
