    Mac OSX VBA (Office 2004)

If you develop in VBA for Macintosh OSX, don't depend on the Options.DefaultFilePath command to find Office folders. OSX is now a case-dependent operating system, but Options.DefaultFilePath returns only lower-case versions of the paths. This didn't matter with earlier Mac OSs and still doesn't matter with Windows.

We worked around this by using a search for the Normal template to find the Templates folder.

Attempting to report this to Microsoft got us only a request for $245 for Advanced Support. Thanks Bill!

In a world full of *nix systems, you'd think someone would create a simple OS service or utility to "correct" any path regardless of case. I mean, it's much less work than cracking a password, and people seem so eager to do that. <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>
