    Printed Page

Sometimes, when you print a web page from Internet Explorer, part of the text along the right side is cut off. Is there a setting you can use to print the page so it shrinks the page to fit? I don't want to use Print Selection or Print Only The Selected Frame, because I need to print the entire page as I see it. Printing in Landscape works, but I was hoping someone knew of a better solution. Thanks

No, this has been a problem for MOST browsers. It is better in IE 5.5 and better yet in IE 6.0 (Beta). The browsers use a generic type of print driver which means they do not use the Windows driver for your brand of printer. IE is NOT a lone with this. <img src=/S/aflame.gif border=0 alt=aflame width=15 height=15> <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I have the same problem using IE 5.5 with an HP Desk Jet 932c printer. I discovered that by setting the printer properties to "Shrink to Fit" on an 8.5x11 paper size takes care of the problem. BTW, the paper size should matter, the printer software just needs to know what size paper you're using.

I hadn't really thought of playing with the printer settings (well, I had looked briefly for a shrink to fit setting, but I didn't find one). I have a Canon laser color printer and I had to play with the scaling setting. Thanks for the suggestion.

Try setting your margins to 0.75" for left, right, top and bottom under page set up in your browser.

    Re: Printed Page

When I print certain web pages, part of the web page does not fit on printed paper. The printer ends up "lopping off" part of the right margin. I don't think it has to do with the page setup in IE. The best solution that I could come up with is to convert the web page/site to PDF then print it. Adobe Acrobat automatically shrinks the pages to fit on 8.5 X 11.
