    Renamed table (Access 2000)

I have a simple database with one table that I view using one form. If I rename the table, the form can't find it. How do I restore the link between the form and the renamed table?

Open the form in design view and then bring up it's property dialog by right clicking on the form and selecting Properties from the context menu. Under the Data tab, you'll find the RecordSource property. Change the value there to the new name of your table, then close and save the design view of the form.

Thanks for your reply. I thought that it should be something simple like that, but I kept getting Properties with a Data tab that was either blank or listed things other than tables. Following your reply, I kept trying and eventually accessed and changed the relevant properties. Does it matter where the cursor is when I right-click?

Yes, it does matter where you right-click. To get the properties of the form itself, you must click inside the form window, but not on any section of the form. You can also open the form in design view and press F4 to activate the Properties window.

The F4 trick from Hans will only work for Access 2002 or 2003.
Left click in the upper left corner of the form. If you have a black square, the form is selected, if not there is something else selected.
You can also right click there to open the property window.
Another way to open the property window is to click the property button in the form design toolbar
