Hyperlinking text to pages (PPT Office 2003)

Help! I'm trying to make an impression here at work... want to create a graphic heavy document in PPT rather than Word. Creating a table of contents and hyper linking each text entry to a page, but when I click on the TOC entry I'm not navigated to the page. What am I missing?

    Thanks!!

Have you tested in slide show view? Hyperlinks are not active when you are designing the slides.
If the hyperlinks don't work in slide show view, how did you create them?

Yes, you're right about the slide show view; didn't realize that before. How can I package this ppt so a viewer can ONLY open as a show?

    1. You can save the presentation as a PowerPoint Show (*.pps). This will take you directly to slide show view if you open the presentation from Windows Explorer. It can still be edited if you open it from within PowerPoint.
    2. You can set a password for modifying the presentation in the Security tab of Tools | Options... Users not knowing the password can only open the presentation read-only.

What Hans said, but be aware that if you password the presentation, users attempting to open the file in PPT 97 or 2000 will receive an error message saying that the file is corrupt. Just wanted you to realize that in case some of the users at your office aren't using PPT 2002 or 2003 yet.

Thanks for the info. It's working out better than expected.
