If you view Print Layout and click on each one of the text boxes, you will see (and can then adjust) their positions on the status bar at the bottom of the window.

Word's old drawing toolbar used to have a tool that I loved for this type of thing. It took me a while to locate it, but go to Tools / Toolbars / Customize and on the Commands tab, at left select "All Commands," at right locate the "DrawAlign" command. Click and drag that to your Drawing toolbar. Now, if you select one or more of the text boxes and click that icon you'll be given various alignment options.

    Hi Karen:
Word also has a tear-off toolbar that does this. On the left side of the Drawing toolbar, if you expand the Draw menu, there is an option for Align or Distribute. Expanding that gets to a menu with a heavy bar across the top & grabing it tears it off & gives you all the commands. It's actually faster to do that to explain it. <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

But I like your method because it has text (which I find easier to learn than a new picture). <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15> Heaven forbid I ever expand that "Draw" menu! Thanks Phil.

Thank you, John, and all for responding. I had thought I had tried the Print Layout routine, but I guess not.

All the suggestions are most welcomed. Thanks to all,
