Trouble getting to site (Internet Explorer)

I have a domain name that automatically forwards to a web page on my ISP. Basically it is myname.ca which forwards to a www3 site on my ISP. All my relatives, except for one in the USA, can see the site . When she types in the domain name, IE states that it cannot find the site. If she types in the full www3 site she can access the pages.

It is my belief that one should be able to access the site from the USA, just as I can access .uk sites from Canada. Is this not true? Is this a problem with domain name forwarding from one country to another? I would like for her to be able to use the domain name rather than the the www3/ispprovider/page name. It is simpler!

Lost and bewildered as to what the problem may be.

What code are you using for the forward? Is it something in your page at mydomain.ca (such as a META REFRESH or JavaScript window.open) or something your domain host provides? Unless it's something in your page, I'm not sure there is a fix.

Added: It's very unlikely to be country specific. However, your US relative's ISP might distrust certain domain hosting services or the browser or other software might block certain kinds of redirection.

It is a service that my domain host provides. No code necessary. As for the added coment, I'll check with my relative.

    Thanks for the response.
