Missing graphics in signatures (WXpHeSp+ Off2003)

I posted in the Publisher forum: "I have signatures that were created with Frontpage. Now I have only publisher - I cannot get the two logos to appear in a signature - even after show pub. where to look for them. I can bring them in each time I wish to use a signature, but that defeats the use of a signature!
    Help please?"
Now, I have tried saving both Publisher & Word documents as html files in my Signature folders.
The preview - from Outlook - DOES show the complete signature, but when inserted to the e-mail the graphics are missing. Please help me on this very annoying trait!

What does the code look like in your HTML file to display the image? One option is to use a relative link to a file on your own computer such as this:

In that case, your GIF file should be placed in the Signatures folder along with the HTML file and all should be well.

Alternatively, you could use an image linked from the web, such as this:

If that does not display in your message composition window, perhaps you are somehow blocking it? As an Outlook 2002 user, I can't think of any way you could be blocking it, but with all the new features of Outlook 2003, I can imagine that it is possible (perhaps as a side effect of blocking images in incoming email).

Sorry, I just realized you mentioned a Word document. Do you use Word to compose mail? If so, you may have to create your signature again, in Word. I think it would be AutoText, but frankly, someone who uses this feature would be in a better position to say.

Ok, please review attached hypersnap of the signature window. All those shown have embedded graphics - those pictures are in the same directory as the signatures. You will note that a picture IS showing (the A.T.B.S) so I don't understand if they show in the preview why they wont appear in the signature itself?

I see that, and I believe you. It is consistent with what you described earlier. However, I don't have any new suggestions for you other than my two posts above.

Added: It may be very difficult to uncover the truth of what's happening inside your signature files using Word or Publisher. If you navigate to the Signatures folder, try opening the .htm files using WordPad or Notepad, or some other program that can view the files as HTML source code rather than trying to render them graphically. Or launch the file in IE and use View>Source.
