    List Doesn't Requery (2002)

    Hi,

I have a form with [lstISFRecords]. There are two other lists that contain comments. When lstISFRecords is double clicked the corresponding comments should appear. This is not working. I've got the same approach on another form and it is working. I'm blind from trying to figure this out but don't see where it is blowing up. I've even tried to redo the lists and that hasn't worked. Any help would be appreciated.

I converted this to 1997 since I couldn't get it down to a small enough size in 2002.

    Thanks,
    Leesha

Why did you use a listbox for the comments ?
Change it to a textbox and name it txtComments
In the Control Source property of txtComments enter :
    =[lstISFRecords].[column](11)

    No code needed any more

    Hi,

First, to answer your question... the purpose is not for the user to edit anything just be able to view the data. In most instances they won't even print the data. The listbox allows them to view but not edit. The list got to big for some computer screens when I put it all in one list and when I made to columns smaller all the comment data did not always show for longer comments. Your approach will work, esp. is I disable the textbox so they can't enter data.

Second, why isn't my approach working. I've studied it till I'm blind and it works on another form. I don't understand what is different or what I'm missing.

    Thanks,

To have your sample db working, after long search, I have to remove the Parameters in the row source of the listboxes (but I am working in Access 2000, I don't know if this is needed in XP-2002) and put a number in the ID field in the table.

I don't understand what you mean by putting a number in. Can you send it back to show me what you did?

    Thanks,

I don't have to resend it, you can save it from your own first post in this thread.
Wat I mean, see the attachment.

WOW!! I didn't even realize there were no ID numbers. I'm almost glad the form wasn't working as I'd never have caught that!

    I'm all set now. Thanks!
