Pivot Table and Countif calculated field (2003)

Is there anyway that you can create and use a Countif function in a calculated field in a Pivot Table ?

Any help VERY greatfully received !!

I think you "can", but it seems rather senseless: the calculation in these formulas work on the individual value and then the pivot calcs kick in and work on these values.

What are you trying to do, could you elaborate?

I don't understand what they are after. You can use the formula on the data in the pivot table if that helps.

You could use a countif (but an IF would work as well) to either count or not count a cell and then sum this calc field.

I need more details of the setup and the desire before I can give any specifics. What you have given us is too general.
