Appointment Notifications by E-mail (Outlook XP)

A client of mine recently added a new employee. Everytime she makes an appointment in Outlook, the former employee gets an e-mail notification of this appointment in his private mailbox. Where do we turn off notifications?

Have you checked the group membership(s) of the former employee?

No. I'm not really a "deep" outlook user. How do I do this?

If the "former employee" is the person who formerly used the computer, the former employee's settings and profile may not have been erased. Check to see what shows under Tools | Options | Delegates on the new employee's machine.

Sorry, I had inferred that your client was using Microsoft Exchange. If that is the case, the notifications of appointments will be controlled from there. I also inferred that the ex-employee was being notified of meetings along with various continuing employees. If this is the case of a former PA and a one-on-one situation, then my advice may well not apply. HTH

My client is not using Exchange. The former employee "did something" and he cannot remember what it was. I was assuming he "turned on" notifications somewhere.

At present, I am unable to see the setting that seems to apply. Maybe another WMVP cana suggest something. In the meantime, you might try a workaround of changing the properties of the Contact for the ex-employee in your client's Contacts Folder. Hopefully, that will at least stop the notfication from being able to be sent to him.
