Currency formats (Win XP Access 2003)

I have done this before, but can't seem to remember how. My PC uses the US currency format, but I want to use a foreign currency format in a db. I put Q#,##0.00 in the format field of the table, but it doesn't function. The Q is dropped to lower case, and I end up with q"#,##0.00". Any thoughts?

I believe in this case you have to place quote charcters around the Q - take a look at the format property in VBA Help. Otherwise, you would have to set the currency symbol in control panel to use the stardard formats.

    Try

Q#,##0.00

The backslash before the Q tells Access that the Q is a literal character, not the symbol for "quarter" (of the year, not the coin).
