    Is there a page or section break at the end of the page you're copying? If so, you can "back off" the selection by one "character" using something like this:

    selection.MoveEnd unit:=wdcharacter, count:=-1

    Note: this was tested in Word 2002; I don't know if Word 97 had this method.

    Jefferson -Thanks for your quick response.

    When I added that line to the end of the code, I got an error message 4605: this method/property is not available because no text is selected. Doesn't make sense...

    Sorry, it goes after your .Select and before your .Copy (you want to reshape the selection before you copy it). Does that work better?

    Yup. Great. I try to fathom the logic of placement of code, and after I am shown the way it is, of course, Natch! I had tried before I contacted the Board, to no avail.

    Thanks very much!
