Open report with where condition (Access 2000)

I have a database called Issues where each employee writes the things to do.With this database i need a help in filetring the report for the different employees.I lost a whole day in trying to do it. Since i copied this database,i want to customize it and open the report with an option for a a chosen employee. However the database is composed from such a high level specialist that i simply cannot understand how it works. Also, i tried to add an Employeeid to the query for the report, but
this was not possible.I apply the whole database in the way i copied it from the book. Can i open the
report Issues for a chosen employee ? Or does anybody has a similar database to offer to me ?

Re: Open report with where condition (Access 2000)

You can pass a WhereCondition to the report in the DoCmd.OpenReport statement. WhereCondition is one of the arguments and it works more simply than the filter string. The report will take care of the rest of it for you.
