Referring to an item from one form to another (2002)

    Hi,

I need to know how to refer to an text box that is open on a form other than the one I'm working on. frmSwitchboard is always open and contains [off_code] and [officeName]. I need the form that is active to refer back to or look back to [off_code] when a command is clicked. I tried ................... if me.off_code.value <> frmSwitchboard.off_code than............................... but get an error that the variable (frmSwitchboard) is not defined. I've not tried to do this before so I'm not sure how to go about defining it.

    Thanks,
    Leesha

    Leesha,

You need to code it like this
    me.off_code.value <> FORMS!frmSwitchboard!off_code
    Have a nice day.

Thanks Don! This fixed my problem and I'm off and running again.
