specifing an include page via ASP

Any reason why this won't work? I try this:

    <font face="Georgia">MatrixFile = "< !--#INCLUDE FILE=" & quote & "TPR_includes/TPR_MatrixLink.htm" & quote & "-- >"</font face=georgia>

and later <font face="Georgia">Response.Write MatrixFile </font face=georgia> and the include doesn't fire. go to view | source and copy the output into a regular HTML and the include fires.

    any ideas??

Maybe it's because your writing to the Response, which will be processed by the browser, not the server.
