Automatically entering of password on Ms Outlook (2000)

    Hello,

Is there a way to automatically enter password on startup of MS Outlook rather than having to enter these details in all the time?, see attachment for details.

    Justin.

It has been a long time since I use Exchange (before Retirement), but that was controlled by the settings in Exchange. You will need to talk to your Exchange support, but I think you will find that They (IT support) are going to say NO WAY.

We were on a "Domain Network" which our Exchange account was set up as part of our user account. So when we logged into the Network, we also were logged into Exchange. This was on a network that had over several 100,000 users which could access from many places around the World.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Do you need to enter this password than once per day?

I think it's possible that more recent versions of Exchange offer "single sign-on" based on the fact that you have authenticated to the Windows domain. If it doesn't, I suggest that as a feature. One strong password is going to be better in the long run than two questionable ones.
