Slipstream Office XP SP3 (OXP Original)

When I attempt to create an administration point with a client version of OXP, I get the attached error message, i.e., must use enterprise version.

Is there any way to create an OXP admin CD so I reinstall from a single CD?

    Many thanks,

    Hi Al

You can not slipstream the retail version of Office XP. The slipstreaming process requires you to do an administrative install which is not possible with the retail version.

    Re: Recreate XP CD Install

Thanks, Tony. I was hoping ...

While we're on the subject of slipstreaming - Is there any way to recreate a WXP installation CD from an existing system? I know what the license number is. I just cannot seem to locate the original CD.

    Al

The slipstreaming processes I have used all require the original CD. You should be able to get a replacement CD either from Microsoft or the company you got your computer from if it is an OEM version.

How to replace lost, broken, or missing Microsoft software or hardware

    Re: Recreate XP CD Install

Thanks for doing the research. I'll go to the manufacturer.
