    IE 6 (Virus)

    I'm using WinXP on a laptop. It seems like I have Bloodhound.exploit.6 and Downloader Trojan gotten on my computer and maybe more. No matter how many times I delete it it will come back. I do have Norton and have scanned my computer. There are files it says it can

    As far as the Hijack, you can find an article on "Tutorials & Links to Detection & Removal Tools":

    here

    This includes Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, Hijack This, & more. I would download & run Hijack this & post the results on their forum, as they are the experts in this area.

    To answer only one tiny part of your question, there is a program "Ad-Aware," and there is a species of software "adware." Confusing, but it pays to be careful in choosing your downloads, as many programs that say they eliminate spyware and adware are spyware.
