Any loungers tried the e-mail client 'Thunderbird' from the makers of firefox? I've downloaded it but can't figure out how to transfer my MS Entourage files (settings and messages). Not sure if I want to change at this point in time but ...

    Re: Thunderbird

Some Windows users are using Thunderbird (discussed on the "other browsers" forum), but I'm not aware of any Mac users using it. Unless there are specific instructions for importing from Entourage, you might have to find a generic Entourage-to-MBox converter so that Thunderbird will have an intermediate format to import from.

    Re: Thunderbird

    Jefferson,
thanks for the reply. I'll check out the other browsers forum - didn't think to look there as Thunderbird is an e-mail client, but this is the lounge ... <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15> I'm sure I can find a tool to transfer from Entourage to T-bird (or I can do it through export), but I was first curious if other loungers had used it, and their experiences. i.e. will it be worth the effort. I've used Entourage, on my Mac, because its the closest thing to Outlook - but have become fed-up with its clunky interface etc. The Apple products (Mail and iCal) are fine, but not intergrated.

Thunderbird is promoted as a cross-platform (Win XP, Mac OS X, Linix) and they seem to have done a good job ...
