Downloads (Firefox 0.9 PR)

I attempted to download Zone Alarm Security Suite Update 5.5 and the download stuck at STARTING for over 5 minutes. I had to cancel and use OE instead. Is that a bug or what?

Would there be any brilliant minds out there that could tell me why this happened and how to fix it? I'm begining to make my home on Woody's, I'm posting problems so much.

Sorry. Confused. Could you please post a LINK to what you were trying to download so I can try also? What did you do with OE that you couldn't do with your browser? Although I don't use it, I think OE is an email program and I'm not sure what you did with it in this case.

Thanks for that, Dave, but I'd like to hear from GLORIA what SHE tried to do, link-specific preferred. I don't have any trouble downloading ZA, but I'd like to see (hear) what SHE did.

Why sure Doc, here you go.

    http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/free/info...aseHistory.html.

OE is one of the Windows e-mail clients used to send and receive email.
A Browsers a method of accessing the Internet and never the twain shall meet.. As different as night and day.

And for users information, I installed Firefox 1.0 Final Release this morning. If it gets any better they may start selling it.

In your initial post you said:

...the download stuck at STARTING for over 5 minutes. I had to cancel and use OE instead. Is that a bug or what?...

I just tried a download from the URL you posted and it worked just fine (I use Mozilla). Now back to MY question - what does Outlook Express have to do with your question? What is it that you're questioning the "bug" about?

Just a type-o, I should have written " had to use IE instead." Sorry, my fingers were flying and I didn't re-read what I wrote. We all make mistakes, don't we?

I wondered if it was a bug because that's wasn't the first time I had the same problem downloading using FireFox.

Okey Dokey. Now let's hear from you (and all the other Firefox'ers) on the performance of the Version 1.0 since some of us holdouts (me) have been waiting to make the switch at Version 1.0. Go Mozilla Foundation! Best thing to happen to the 'Net in a long time...

So far, so good. I have no complaints. I'm busy installing extensions for Firefox and Thunderbird.

May I say that Downloads are working with no problems with this updated version of Firebox.

If I find a problem, you gentlemen here will be amoung the first to know about it.
