    Re: Fill Fields Automaticlly (Access 97)

    I am using this code. I guess my problem is on creating the form to use this code. I have a zip code database that I downloaded from a site I don't remember. I want to learn how to use this coding for a future project that I have coming up.

    Re: Fill Fields Automaticlly (Access 97)

    Change the following lines :
    <pre>varState = DLookup("State", "tblZipCode", "ZipCode =" & Me.[Zip])
    varCity = DLookup("City", "tblZipCode", "ZipCode =" & Me.[Zip])</pre>

    In Me.[Zip], Zip should be the name of the control on the form containing the zip code.

    Do this solve the problem ?

    I am trying to create or figure out how to have a form auto fill from data that is entered in another field. I have some code that I retrieved from another site but I must be doing something wrong. I think I am not filling out the form properly. Here is a link to that code. http://www.mvps.org/access/forms/frm0009.htm. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
