First and Last Names Switched (Outlook 2003 SP1)

After upgrading from Outlook 2002, any new contacts entered have the first and last names switched! After entering the full name and pressing the tab key, the Title Bar displays "Last First" and the File As displays "Last First" with no comma. Clicking the Full Name button shows the first name in the Last Name box and the last name is the First Name box.

To make things worse, when merging in Word, all of the contacts data is printed in the wrong place, too. First Name in the Last Name area and vice versa.

Very strange! Any idea what might be causing this?

This is just new Contacts, correct? What are your settings under Tools | Options | Contact Options as the "Default Full Name Order" and "Default File-As Order"? They may be out of whack.

Yes, that's what it was! Thank you. Now if you only knew of a way to go back and fix the Contacts already entered... <img src=/S/sigh.gif border=0 alt=sigh width=15 height=15>

If there's a -lot- you could export then to a CSV and edit them in Excel, but other wise I don't know of a method other than tediously editing each one with the new settings.
