Reverting back to last good configuration

A computer at work is no longer booting up properly, and continues to go to safemode. I know there is a way to make the computer look back and revert to the last good moment, start up, configuration, etc. How do I make the computer do this? Thank you for your help

You have not specified your operating system. Windows XP has an option called System Restore which on my system is found under All Programs>Accessories>System Tools

As well as Tony's suggestion of System Restore, if you are using WinXP, see <!mskb=307852>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 307852<!/mskb> on starting the computer using the last known good configuration. This method also works for Win2000 and NT.

I'm going to LOCK this thread, folks, since the question has been posted in the Windows 98 forum, worded only slightly differently. Please go to <!post=this post.,425565>this post.<!/post>
