    Attachments (2002 SR2)

When I send or forward attachments, they seem to come through with funny lines across the top--or alternatively they also gain an extra attachment called heading.htm with just some blank lines. Can anyone tell me what is happening? A lot of my correspondents say that they can't read what I am sending.

I assume you are forwarding mail messages rather than, say, PDF files. If so, it could be related to the message formats and filters that operate between you and the recipient. Does it help to compose your message as plain text rather than either HTML or RTF? (Also, if you are using Word as your mail editor, I am not familiar with the things it might do to a message.)
