I have a button on a form which opens a comments box. how to a write a piece of code so when the 2nd form is open that it save any changes in form 1 . At the moments when I try to add comments in the 2nd form it wont allow me to do so until the save button in the first form is clicked.

    Im using Access2002.

any help would be appreciated as I am relatively new to programming in VBA .

In the code behind the button add:

    docmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord

    before you open form 2
