    IE error (Windows XP)

Could my IE be corrupt? It seems to work; however, when I close out on it, I get an error message that says that IE has encountered a problem and needs to close. I am enclosing a pdf of all the messages.
Is there a way to repair or reinstall IE? My version is 6.0.
One other matter. I have a Microsoft Program (Home Publishing 2000) that creates an HTML version of a Web greeting card. The sounds do not always play. However, they play perfectly on other computers. I do not know if this could be related.
    Thank you very much.

    Re: IE error (Windows XP)

    Try to download and install

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for XP Service Pack 2 (KB834707)

It contains an updated version of shdocvw.dll, that causing a problem on your computer.

For those who has another version of Internet Explorer and Windows, see MS04-038: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for more information.

But, if you already installed it and you are sure that the problem starts after installing this update, uninstall it.

Thank you for the response. I installed the download but the same problem exists. It's strange, because IE seems to be working fine.
