Enabling Mozilla (Mozilla (build ID:2003110115))

Running WinXP Home with SP2. Just got hooked up to Sympatico Hi-Speed ( The Canadian version). How can I get Mozilla to be my Email client and default browser on this system and get away from Outlook Express.??

    Thanx a lot.

Your Sympatico account information comes with setup instructions for the Netscape packages. Follow those (for the most part), and you'll be set.

Depending on your email account's creation date, your pop server is going to differ from the instruction sheet. For example, my pop server is pop8.sympatico.ca.

And after you follow Chris's lead to straighten out your email...

When I switched to cable earlier in the year, my provider setup a "customized" copy of IE, using their page as Home. And that's OK with me, for when I want to use IE for something, I don't care what page it opens to. But for yours and my sake, if you want Moz to be your primary browser, just make sure (in Mozilla) that your Edit, Preferences looks like the attachment. If not, click the button and you should be all set.

This is a follow up as I can't find my original post. Anyway I was finally successful in getting Mozilla to work as an Email client on Sympatico High Speed, due in a big way to help I got from the Lounge. Just have one small point now: How to get my Outgoing Mail to show up in my SENT folder. Can't find the right button to click.

I don't have Mozilla any more (I still have Netscape 4.75 ), but isn't there a setting under Preferences for Mail & Newsgroups/Copies & Folders, or something similar? If not, I guess you'll have to wait for a Mozilla guru.

While in the email program (NOT the browser window) select the top item (name of your email account) so the right pane shows the settings selection. In settings you should see something like the attachment. That SHOULD do it. Let us know.
