    Blocked Attachements (2002 (SP3))

I would like to set Outlook to accept Access databases as attachments. I read through the thread from last year about that subject but it appears to be for a preveious version of Outlook.

Is there any way to allow Outlook 2002 - SP3 to accept Access files?

    Hi

You can use a third-party add-in such as Attachment Options to specify what attachments are blocked.

For other third-party programs see Slipstick

In addition to Ton's suggestions, you can also zip the file prior to sending or receiving. It will then have a .zip extension rather than a .mdb extension and Outlook will accept it (it also makes the attachment significantly smaller).

Another option would be to do a registry hack. If you don't have one yet, under HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftOffice10.0OutlookSecurity, create a new string value entry with a value name Level1Remove. The value data would be the extension/s you want Outlook to "unblock" separated by a semi-colon with no spaces in between.
