    All Bold font (OE 6)

How come when I use the attached for email, the original goes out OK (Comic Sans 12), but all my replies go out CS 10 bold?

I think I've double-checked my settings, and both News and Compose fonts are set to 12pt Regular.

Is it something in this stationary?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

I don't use OE much, so I won't open the attachment to look, but... when you are replying, I think you are using someone else's stationery, the one stored in the message, not yours. Unless you are replying to a reply to your original message, in which case you probably are using your stationery. Does that make sense?

I agree as to OE, I don't really use it either. I receive however these msgs in Outlook (2K) where the same issue appears. And in Outlook I sent my fonts to "Always use my fonts"... But it ain't happening.

Maybe, but it affects both, so I guess it's your call...

Chuck, which Outlook version are you using, and what is message format are these messages you are recieving? (To determine these, select edit message and see which format is checked in the format menu - in Outlook 2003.) If the mnessages you are receiving are from someone else, HTML and RTF, will leave them in the format and message formatting )bold, underlined, italic, etc.) with which they were sent.

The OE is html... The O2K is text...

Your original attachment is an Outlook Express *.eml with no message text, and appears to be set to Comic Sans Bold 12 Point as the default sending font (the Bold icon is 'on', its 3D appearance is depressed). Since the example you attached IS Bold, can you attach an Outlook *.msg file from a message that you send to yourself and then reply to, to illustrate what you mean about the reply text showing as bold when the original text is not bolded?

I just opened it in OE, and "undepressed" the Bold... But when I start typing, it goes down again automatically...

I know, Chuck, I saw the same thing, and the Style is set to 'Normal', that's why I made the comments I made and asked the questions I asked, in my prior post.

Please clarify is you are using Outlook Express or Outlook, or both? If you are using Outlook Express, can you list the menus you double-checked to determine the font settings, in the form of Tools | Options | Compose | Mail Font, and View | Text Size, and in the New Message Window, Format | Font?

Re: All Bold font (OE 6)

I do NOT think it is the "Bold" issue, but the fact that it is 12 pt font. On ALL systems that I have worked on the 12 pt font appears to be bold due to the fact the stroke with is wider. Change to a 10 pot and the bold appearance will disappear.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
