    Addin hangs PowerPoint (2003)

We have created an addin for PowerPoint which puts a toolbar into the system. This works on most of the ten thousand machines we have rolled out to but once the addin is loaded on about six machines, the next time PowerPoint is launched either PowerPoint hangs or opens in safe mode. The machines appear the same as all others, we cannot figure out why this might happen on just some peoples machines. Any ideas?

Could the users where it crashes already have a toolbar with the same name as the one the add-in tries to create? Does the code that creates the toolbar have an error handler?

Indeed I looked at these machines to find whether there is any difference and could not identify any. They are all the same as the other ones. A chance of having a toolbar by the same name is highly unlikely and also the Addin has an error control.

Sorry, nothing else comes to mind.

No worries, we will probably end up swapping out the machines. Just seems odd that we cannot find a difference yet the addin won't work on these few. Thanks anyway.
