Office Enevelope Object (2003)

In a recent Access Watch newsletter a reference to the Office Envelope Object was made. I looked for info on what this is and was not able to find any details. Can someone either give me a quick summary as to what the Office Enevelope Object is or point me in the direction of an article that details it?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it doesn't indicate what the Envelope object is for and that's what I'm trying to figure out. Maybe it's an obvious answer that is just eluding me but darned if I know what it's for.

Given that the Envelope Object appeared in Office about the saem time that the .NET platform started being rolled out, it may have something to do with interchangeability and/or security issues at the .NET level. That, however, is guesswork on my part. HTH
