Header Info in Printed E-mail Messages (Outlook 2003)

When I print an e-mail it has my name at the top with a line below it. How do I get rid of this?

In 2003, select File | Page Setup | Define Print Styles | Memo Style | Edit. Delete '[user name]' in the dialog, as shown in the graphic; select it and hit the Delete key. (There have been reports that this setting change may not 'take'; I don't know if it is because there are overriding server settings.)

This is strange. I did that, but there was no username field.

If it works, I'm sure thousands are people are exclaiming "Finally!" (The header and footer boxes are blank in Outlook 2002, yet the username prints.)

And as you surmised, the OP did not find the User Name field in the default style, so my suggestion didn't fix the problem.

Jefferson, wouldn't Method 2 in the <!mskb=197454>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 197454<!/mskb> you referenced in <!post=this thread,266767>this thread<!/post> help? (There were also <!post=this thread,360506>this thread<!/post> and <!post=this thread,197994>this thread<!/post>, but no solutions in those.)

Yep. See Jefferson's comment in this thread, and my response in <post#=427162>post 427162</post#>.

Whoops, I forgot about those options. I assume they still work in 2003, but I am not able to try them myself.

I assume that they work in any setup that uses a profile. But I also can't test it at the present, because I do not have Server Permissions to meddle with my e-mail acount name. And the Bride is not keen on me monkeying with her XP setup.
