    error trapping (XL2000 sr2 on W2K sp2)

    Anyone prepared to offer their <img src=/S/2cents.gif border=0 alt=2cents width=15 height=15> on this...

Is better to go through adding simple tests to cell contents, e.g. =If(keycell="","",do what ever) to suppress errors?
Or leave the errors on the worksheet and build decent error handlers into my UDFs?
Or a bit of both, depending on what seems to work best!

    A bit of both.

If you want to suppress all errors with a null string, that is fine, but you might want to be selective as some errors might be due to cell contents and not just a blank cell.

You could allow errors for errors and include checking for a blank cell if desired and return a null.

If desired you could include an optional parameter to yield a something if a cell is blank (a null, a message, etc)
