    Chg Printer mid-document (>=2002)

    Is it possible to set a control within Word to have, say, pages 1-3 print on ONE printer and subsequent pages print on another printer?

    I doubt it!!

    If you have the need to print to multiple printers regularly, you could create separate toolbar buttons or File menu items to make that easier. We've had a few threads on that in the past here on the Word board (it may have come up on the VBA board now and then, too).

    There's no control to do this, I think. But it can be done in a macro, something like this:

    Sub TwoPrinters()
    Dim strActivePrinter As String
    strActivePrinter = ActivePrinter 'Save the current active printer
    ActivePrinter = "HP LaserJet on printerslaser" 'Use correct name of printer for first 3 pages
    ActiveDocument.PrintOut Pages:="1-3"
    ActivePrinter = HP DeskJet on printersinkjet" 'Use correct name of printer for rest of pages
    ActiveDocument.PrintOut Pages:="4-"
    ActivePrinter = strActivePrinter 'Restore default active printer
    End Sub

    Of course this could be made more generic, i.e. asking which pages to send to the first printer, and which printer to use for part 1 and part 2. But this will give you the general idea.
