    All E-Mail = Attachments (MS Outlook 2000 SP-3)

I use rich text and do not use an outside e-mail editor. A friend asks why I am sending most things with attachments--and have not been attaching anything. I thought I solved this some time ago by removing Word as an e-mail editor. Any advice? (She does not open any attachments but I suspect they are the annoying things I sometimes get, which are merely a repeat of the text, and open up in Notepad.)

It's your RTF message format. Most non-MS e-mail clients do not recocognize the format and recreate it as an attachment. Switch to plain text format (or HTML, but be aware that many folks are HTML-averse because it can carry spyware, false addresses, and malicious scripts).
