    IE6 Crashes (sometimes) (Ver6 SP1)

IE6 is misbehaving in Windows 98 operating system. There are times when I type an address it an error message appears that require IE to close and start again. I have tried running the IE repair process without any luck.

I am fortunate to be able to post to the lounge.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    John

Post a screen shot of the error message, and more information about your system, CPU and speed, RAM and disk size and empty space on disk.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

It is possible that your Java Virtual Machine is missing or corrupted. If you visit a page that uses Java and do not have a VM, bad things can and often do happen. If you search here on the IE board, you can find links to Microsoft's (Microsoft Virtual Machine) and Sun's (Java Runtime Engine) VMs, as well as some diagnostics relating to them. Hope this helps.
