Printer/copier/scanner/ant farm

My friend doesn't use the copy feature of his two-month old multifunction printer very often. imagine his surprise to find the top unit completely packed with ants and their stuff. Any suggestions for removal? eBay?

Perhaps he should take it back and ask for a refund, saying that it had been reproducing without even having been switched on!

I agree with John. A return is in order.

Perhaps it can be used to print Word documents with the "marching ants" text effect.

I think the ants moved in after it was set up and installed. Hard to imagine that there was a little nest in there when it arrived. Of course, if they were giant Malaysian army ants, it would be a different story.

It would be fun to talk to Dell support about this, though. They probably would prefer to provide "in home" support rather than have it arrive back at the loading dock.
