Other Browsers and E-mail Clients

Maybe I have an excessively neat mind but it seems to me that the Forum "Other Browsers and E-mail Clients" should be in "Other Serious Stuff" (since none are part of Microsoft Office).

Just a thought.

You have a valid point.

Strictly speaking, the Internet Explorer and Outlook Express forums don't belong under MS Office either, but since browsers and e-mail are closely interconnected, it was decided to group all forums dealing with browsers and e-mail with the Outlook forum (which does belong to MS Office).

Perhaps, the entire forum structure will be redesigned one day, with a separate category (section) for Web Browsers, E-mail, and Internet Security.

Hmm...and then they can move MS Works into the Microsoft Office category too (It has the MS as a prefix)???

But MS Works is not MS Office, so if you want to be a purist...

Point taken...

OK, put it in Light Relief then...as it seems so awkward in SERIOUS STUFF....
Cheers

I think that several of us have experienced the following: you're glancing at the list of forums, and when your eye passes over "MS Works", you think "No, it doesn't".

Re: Other Browsers and E-mail Clients

Ok - here's my suggestion then to tidy things up with minimum impact:

1. Retitle "Microsoft Office" to "Microsoft Office and Other Microsoft Applications"
2. Move "Other Browsers and E-mail Clients" to "Other Serious Stuff"
3. From "Windows" move "Other OSes - Palm/Linux" to "Other Serious Stuff"
4. Move "MS Works" to "Microsoft Office and Other Microsoft Applications"

Hope this helps (a bit).

Thanks. Don't expect too much - reorganizing the forum structure is not high on the Admins' priorities list.

That's strange. I had just been considering posting "Yes, it does!" in Lounge Matters then I saw your "No, it doesn't." in MS Works. Weird.
