Substitute Names 2

Substitute the vowels with a number. This number remains constant for all names!

1. Allen = 12
2. Susan = 13
3. Geoffrey = 16
4. Helen = 6
5. Martin = 10
6. Freddie = 7
7. Victor =
8. James =
9. Katherine =
10. Deloris =

Re: Substitute Names 2

After looking at the puzzle again, I can bet ya that you solved it by starting at Helen. I'm sure that was a give away.
Am I right?

And make sure you use the correct spelling for Alan; not one of those arcane dialectal adulterations!

Alan

Re: Substitute Names 2

I thought about that spelling, and didn't use it as it would have given the puzzle away like Helen did. (I obviously lost my train of thought when entering her name into the equation!) Alan has 2 vowels of the same kind...and that makes it pretty easy to find the value of "a" to solve the rest of the puzzle....So don't feel too bad...I did think of you!!!
