Highlighting part of a cell (xp)

Is it possible to highlight part of a cell. For example, if a cell contained the sentence, "Today is November 23, 2003," is it possible to highlight just 'November 23?' Thanks.

No. You can select part of a cell and change the font, font size and font style.

Don't you mean; " Yes. You can select part of a cell and change the font, font size and font style. "

While you are editing a cell, you can select and highlight part of the cell contents. But I assumed that texasrocks wanted part of the cell contents to be highlighted as a permanent format, not only while editing the cell. In Word, you can specify black shading for a bit of text, and the font color will be adjusted automatically. In Excel, you can only apply shading to whole cells, not to part of a cell. That's why I replied No, but perhaps I misinterpreted the original poster's intention.

And perhaps I mis-interpreted the question. After your explanation, it now make perfect sense why you said "No".
