Importing eml messages (Outlook 2000 )

Is it possible to import eml files (ie: the messages themselves) straight into Outlook 2000? I can't find an option for this. I am using another email client (not in Outlook's list of programs for automatic import) that saves the mail messages in eml format. I would like to import all the messages to Outlook. Outlook Express isn't working for all sorts of reasons, so I can't import it to OE and then import the messages into Outlook. So as you can see, I'm looking for a more direct way of doing this.

    Thanks for your help,

    JoeK

I believe the only way to do this is to import them into Outlook Express, then export them (as a .pst?) which you can then open and copy/manipulate with Outlook.

Outlook Express is effectively part of Internet Explorer. Have you tried re-installing IE as a step towards curing your OE problems?
