    export to excel (2000)

    When I run the procedure below, is export.xls overwritten or appended to?
    Private Sub btnExport_Click()
    DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel3, "quExport", "c:export.xls"
    End Sub

    This is typically the kind of thing that you best solve by experimenting. It doesn't take much time - less than posting a question and waiting for a reply! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    The workbook itself or the worksheet is NOT overwritten, but the data are overwritten - new records are appended, deleted records are removed and modified records are updated.

    I would have experimented, but the system I am at currently only has Access and Word on it. Sorry if I wasted your time.
