    Christmas Book Recommendations

Does anyone care to recommend any books for Christmas. I'm doing my on-line Christmas shopping.
Jefferson's recommendation of It Must've Been Something I Ate: The Return of the Man Who Ate Everything was much enjoyed at our house this year. Just wondering about any other recommendations out there.

    Re: Christmas Book Recommendations

If you are interested in Neurology and/or machine intelligence, you could try On Intelligence by Jeff Hawkins (designer of the Palm Pilot and Treo) and Sandra Blakeslee (journalist). I'm about 60% through it and it's quite interesting and mostly understandable. I have no idea whether it is right! It's still in hardcover, about $15 while it is a best seller.

Most of the other books I read this year are not appropriate holiday reading. Too depressing. <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>
