Jigzone.com and Java (XP Home SP2)

Not sure where this question belongs. A friend likes to do the jig saw puzzles at Jigzone.com. Has been doing them for a long time. Suddenly, the puzzles will not "load". We have done all the "fixes" recommended by jigzone to no avail. Java is installed and working as the various tests show that it is. It is the SUN version of Java. We downloaded and installed the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox and Opera but this made no difference. We uninstalled and reinstalled JAVA - no luck. We have checked all the security and java settings. We have removed temp internet files. Any suggestions.

    Trebor

Are you blocking popups? There can be several places where this is done. For example:

Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Popup Blocker
Google Toolbar -> Options -> Accessories -> Popup Blocker

Firefox -> Tools -> Options -> Web Features -> Block Popup Windows

Norton Internet Security -> Status and Settings -> Ad Blocking -> Configure -> Turn on Popup Window Blocking

Your software may vary. You may have to turn off some/all of those instances you find...

Hope it's that, and not something else. (I could do the 6-piece cat puzzle in only 3m 08s!).

If you are using the Windows Firewall you may have to allow a particular port for that site to access your PC. Check the site support area.
