Re: Revisions - Tracking (Word 2000)

I always use the dialog box when you choose Accept or Reject changes. Then you can press Alt+A for accept, Alt+R for reject, Alt+C for accept all, & Alt+J for Reject all. Is that what you want?

Yes, that is my preferred method, however the book illustration we are following today has us using the Reviewing toolbar to step our way through changes...and on one students computer the status bar message "Press Yes to accept, No to Reject" keeps appearing...and a Y or N must be pressed on the keyboard before it allows that action to be carried out...how do you turn that status bar message off so we don't have to press Y or N to continue? I've seen it before, just can't remember what I did to turn it off.

Re: Revisions - Tracking (Word 2000)

I'm stumped. I can't find a setting that forces you to press Y or N to before it will allow a change. I even tried turning on the setting "Help for WordPerfect users" & "Navigation keys for WordPerfect". Could there be some add-in that's affecting it?

    Phil,

It was the option in Tools...Options...General tab for Word Perfect Navigation tools. That was checked and we unchecked it and all is working fine now. Thank you for the lead in.

You're quite welcome. Funny, it had no affect on my accepting or rejecting changes, only on trying to delete something.

Re: Revisions - Tracking (Word 2000)

    Phil,

Actually when I investigated the problem further it "was" in deleting text with the TRK tool on. It would not allow deletion, and would ask in the status bar whether you really wanted to or not with Y or N...It was not on the accept or reject portion of the revisions at all.
    I told you I was having a whacky Monday...hehe
    Thanks

    Revisions - Tracking (Word 2000)

I am having a Monday morning spasm of the brain. I have a quick question...I've seen this before and can't remember why it is or how to change it....

When the tracker is turned on, and you "Accept/Reject" changes...In the status tray at the bottom of the screen a message appears asking whether you want to make that change or not, and to press Y for Yes and N for No...how do I turn that feature off and just make accept/reject without it's help.

EDITED: AFTER POSTINGS WERE ALL COMPLETE I LEARNED IT WAS NOT DURING THIS PHASE, BUT DURING EDITING PHASE IT WOULD NOT ALLOW DELETION WITH THE DELETE KEY....BIG SORRY GUYS.. Been that kind of day
