Paper Clip

My question has to do with the blasted paper clip. Every time I start typing a letter it comes out and asks me if I wish help typing the letter or to just go ahead. I just want to be left alone and type my own letter.

Is there a way of getting rid of this annoying interuption to allow me to type a letter in peace???

Add Remove Programs and select Office
Select Add/Remove
Navigate to Office Tools and then Office Assistant
De-select.

A less drastic measure would be to both to "hide the office assistant" in the help menu & to search for a file called "Actors". Rename the file to "Dead Actors".

In Word 2000, you can click options on the office assistant, click the options tab, & then uncheck "use the office assistant".
