    You can configure the keyboard for easy entry of international characters. In Windows XP, this is done through the Regional and Language Options control panel (Languages tab, Details button), in older Windows versions through the Keyboard control panel. By setting the input language to US International, the ', ` and ^ keys act as "dead keys": they will be combined with the next key if possible. For example, ' followed by e becomes
