    Changing standard template (XP SP-1)

    Hello everybody!

Recently, I have tried to exchange the standard template from blank.pot to another one, but I could not manage. Does anybody have an idea, how this could be realized?
I am very grateful for any help. Thanks in advance for your effort.

    Many greetings, Porley

The default template MUST be named blank.pot regardless of the language you work in, and it must be stored in your default templates folder. If you start PowerPoint and begin to save the presentation as a template (you don't have to actually do it), you'll see the templates path. You can also inspect it in Word, in the File Locations tab of Tools | Options..., by double clicking on User Templates. The default location is

    Cocuments and Settings<username>Application DataMicrosoftTemplates

Note: Application Data is a hidden folder, so you must display hidden files and folders to see it.

Many thanks to you. This was not the solution I wanted to realize, but if this is the only way, I will go it.
Thanks again, and have a nice weekend.
